The incumbent Serbian authorities would allow the overflight of Russian President Vladimir Putin's airplane on its way to Hungary, in the event of a meeting between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said.

In an interview with Serbian public service RTS late on Oct. 23, Vucic said that Serbia "has not received any plans" regarding the potential meeting in Budapest and that it had all been conjecture, but that Belgrade would certainly allow overflight.

Vucic also criticized certain opposition representatives for saying that Putin should not be allowed to fly over Serbia.
