On Nov. 5, at the opening of the Eighth Chinese International Imports Fair in Shanghai, Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut voiced Serbia’s commitment to continuing the development of its strategic partnership with China, in keeping with their high level of mutual trust, the Serbian government has announced.
Macut stated that the past several years have strengthened said partnership and the two countries’ friendship, enabling bilateral cooperation to reach an all-time high, thanks to personal contributions of their presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping.
According to the prime minister, economic cooperation between Serbia and China is developing dynamically through the realization of numerous capital projects in the areas of road, railway and energy infrastructure, while an increasing number of Chinese companies and investors have set up shop in Serbia, particularly in the fields of mining, metallurgy and the automobile industry.
