Regarding the Nov. 5 evening rally of regime supporters transported from throughout the country to so-called Caciland – the fenced-in, police-guarded camp which, since March, has been occupying the public park, plateaus and a full section of the road between the president’s offices in Belgrade’s New Palace and the National Assembly of Serbia – President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has announced he is “proud of Serbia” and again invited those of dissenting opinion to a political dialogue.

In a post on Instagram, Vucic published an image of his proponents followed by one of Dijana Hrka and those supporting her. Hrka has been staying in a tent outside the regime camp and on hunger strike since Nov. 2, the day after the one-year anniversary of the Novi Sad railway station collapse that killed her son along with 15 others.

“Thank you for every word spoken. No offense, but I believe the people of Serbia deserve better than what you have offered them. Dear brothers and sisters, I again call for a dialogue and am ready to hear even such elitist and high-minded messages, because any conversation, I am convinced, is beneficial,” Vucic wrote.

Ahead of the Caciland rally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the public would be gathering in front of the National Assembly building to welcome the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija who have been marching to Novi Sad for eight days.

The Ministry later estimated that 47,500 people attended said congregation, which significantly differs from the 14,000-attendee calculation published by the non-governmental Archive of Public Gatherings. Similarly, the NGO stated that 110,000 people were present at the peak of the Novi Sad memorial rally on Nov. 1, 2025, while the Ministry put the number at around 39,000.
