KFOR: No Movement of Kosovo Security Forces Toward North
The Kosovo Defense Ministry has confirmed it has completed the procedure for the procurement of anti-tank weapons from Germany, for the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF).
Geopost, a local portal, has reported that the KSF will soon receive the Panzerfaust 3, a man-portable, disposable, recoilless, anti-tank weapon, expected to considerably increase its defense capabilities in combating armored vehicles.
Kosovo has also signed a contract with AM General, American automotive manufacturer that builds military and commercial vehicles, for the procurement of HUMVEE Hawkeye 105mm, a mobile Howitzer system, that is, a two-door HUMVEE truck with the 105mm soft-recoil cannon.
In addition to these systems, the three-year contract envisages the supply of armored ambulances, command and control vehicles, and other supporting equipment necessary for operation of an artillery battery.
