A new round of top-level talks between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the European Union, will take place in Brussels on Jan. 22.

Belgrade’s delegation will be led by Petar Petkovic, Serbia’s lead negotiator and the director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, while Pristina will be represented by its own head negotiator, Besnik Bislimi.

Citing unofficial sources, Radio Free Europe has reported that the latest sit-down will focus on continuing talks on the implementation of the Declaration on Missing Persons, pertaining to those who disappeared during the war in Kosovo.

Last week, European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Peter Sorensen visited each side and called for negotiations to resume.

In Brussels, Sorensen will first meet with Petkovic and Bislimi separately, before a joint meeting involving all three will take place.

The last round of talks within the dialogue took place in September 2025.
