A student ticket might draw former abstainers to the polls, but without the authentic right there will be no toppling of the regime spearheaded by Aleksandar Vucic, leader of the opposition New Democratic Party Milos Jovanovic said on Feb. 13.

He said in a statement that Serbian society was "in a great socio-political and moral crisis" and that elections could be a way out of the crisis, "but only provided they are free and democratic."

"The institutions in Serbia are not doing their job and will not be doing it as long as the current coalition is in power," said Jovanovic.
