Aleksandar Vucic (BETAPHOTO/MILAN ILIC)
In his editorial published on Feb. 17 in The Indian Express, an India’s English-language daily newspaper, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that relations between India and Serbia were rooted in a long history of strong cooperation, mutual respect and the expansion of economic ties.
Ahead of Vucic’s arrival at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, hosted by New Delhi, the daily published Vucic’s editorial titled “The AI Summit puts India at the center of the global discourse.”
In his article, Vucic, among other things, said that the summit, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition to democratize access to the benefits of new technologies, sought to ensure that artificial intelligence would not be the privilege of only the privileged few.
During the Summit, according to a release from the Serbian President’s Office, Vucic will meet with India’s President Droupadi Murmu and PM Modi, and is also scheduled to talk with a number of world officials. The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is held from Feb. 16 to 20.
