The university student protests in Serbia are preparing for "summer rally season," with the first big assembly taking place at Belgrade's Slavija Square late in May, the April 29 issue of the Nova daily reported.

The date of the upcoming big rally will be given out after International Workers' Day as just the first in a series of assemblies announced as part of the Students Will Win campaign. They are expecting a turnout in "record numbers" from all parts of Serbia, and will give out the details for the rally "in good time."

"This will be a new great rally at Slavija Square, and we expect it to exceed 100,000 -- the number of people who attended the protest held in 2024," the student of a faculty in Belgrade told Nova.
