Gornje Nedeljice (BETAPHOTO/SASA DJORDJEVIC)
Attorney Luka Djordjevic said on May 21 that land is being expropriated in Gornje Nedeljice and Donje Nedeljice as part of infrastructure projects connected with the Jadar project, despite the claims of the authorities that the project has been dropped.
He called on citizens to "physically and legally" oppose contractors from entering their fields. "The majority of procedures that were connected to the municipality of Osecina have ended and machinery appeared near the villages of Gornje Nedeljice and Donje Nedeljice a month and a half ago, which caused the huge concern of villagers. These machines began entering fields even before the first expropriation orders came, provoking the opposition of villagers - in several places they prohibited contractors from entering their land," Djordjevic told the Danas newspaper.
He said a huge number of expropriation procedures are being conducted in the Gornje Nedeljice and Donje Nedeljice areas involving land there and that Srbijagas was leading the project and that this was part of the construction of a gas pipeline between Valjevo and Loznica. The Rio Sava company told Danas in a response that it is unaware of the activities in Gornje Nedeljice and Donje Nedeljice.
"We are not acquainted with any of the activities that you mention, however, if they are happening, they are not connected to the Jadar project, which has been in the care and maintenance phase since November 2025," they said.
