Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on June 8 that Serbia would cease to exist within 48 hours if it did not spend money on the military, because it would otherwise be “swallowed up and devoured.”
“Just look at our surroundings, let alone the great powers. By investing in the military, we are protecting our sky and our land, and no one will dare attack us. In the past, we could have shot down two or three aggressor aircraft; today, no one could attack Serbia without suffering losses hundreds of times greater,” Vucic said as a guest at the electoral assembly of the Party of United Pensioners, Farmers and Proletarians of Serbia – Solidarity and Justice (PUPS).
Vucic told representatives of the Party that he believed they would run together in elections and, “despite enormous challenges, numerous pressures from outside and unprecedented pressures from within, manage to win and continue the changes that had been started.” “Sometimes those who are fewer in number have bigger ideas and you cannot recognize that immediately, but we have always tried to maintain a fair relationship and to provide at least as much as was necessary for our partner to be satisfied with it,” Vucic said.
At the electoral assembly, Milan Krkobabic was re-elected PUPS president.
