The Freedom and Justice Party said on June 29 that it had opened an office in the municipality of Kula, stressing that “the opposition is not the enemy, but a driving force that cannot be excluded from political and social processes.”
“The Party’s Kula branch will be a powerful engine of the changes that are to come in the municipality,” said Zlatko Ostojic, head of the Party’s municipal board, at the opening ceremony, which was also attended by the Freedom and Justice Party’s leader, Dragan Djilas, and his deputy, Marinika Tepic.
Ostojic said the change would include “assuming responsibility for implementing the most complex and demanding reforms of public administration and public companies, their full rationalization, as well as launching initiatives that will lead to the prosecution of all those who abused their political influence or official position to obtain unlawful financial gain.”
“That is why I am sending a clear message today to former and current public officials in the municipality of Kula - you will be held accountable for the events of May 20, 2025, for every stone thrown, every explosive device detonated and every baton raised against citizens,” Ostojic said.
