On July 14, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that it is a great honor for Serbia to attend the celebration of Bastille Day, a national holiday in France, commemorating the anniversary of the fall of the Bastille prison.
On his Instagram, Vucic posted a photo of the ceremony and the military parade in Paris, saying that Serbia was for the first time invited to attend the event “at this level.”
Vucic also said that he is grateful to (French) President Emmanuel Macron, “whose invitation has again confirmed his personal friendship and great respect for Serbia.”
“My job, always and everywhere, is to protect interests of our country, and here in Paris, I am also serving my people and all Serbia’s citizens,” Vucic wrote in the post.
