Opposition Alliance: Interior Ministry’s Refusal to Provide Voting Roll Data Points to Election Fraud

The Monarchists-Movement for the Kingdom of Serbia alliance on July 29 accused the Serbian Interior Ministry of "refusing" to provide the members of a commission charged with electoral roll oversight with the addresses of "more than 130,000 new Serbian citizens who gained voting rights over the last few years." 

The alliance said in a press release that "concealing some of the data about the voting roll indicates preparation for new election fraud." "The [Interior Ministry's] refusal to cooperate represents direct complicity in the preparations for election fraud. If the commission has no access to this information, it raises the question of why it was even formed and who is trying to hide the data from the public," said Dusan Radosavljevic, co-president of the Monarchists Alliance and an MP from the National Democratic Alternative coalition.

He accused the government of "increasing suspicion of preparations for the greatest election fraud yet" with its actions. "If once again there are abuses, phantom voters from other countries with falsified domiciles, vote buying and the photographing of ballots, blackmail and pressure on voters and other irregularities, the opposition and the people will not recognize such election results," the Monarchists-Movement for the Kingdom of Serbia alliance quoted Radosavljevic as saying.
