Serbia Center party vice president Slobodan Cvejic said on Aug. 26 that there will be no improvement to conditions at an upcoming election as key things like the voting roll have not been addressed, and no changes have been made in media or to editorial policies at regime-controlled outlets, whether the RTS public broadcaster or privately-owned ones.

"About the election roll, where we supposedly had a group, then some draft law, only for access anywhere where there is executive power, where you can actually produce results, to be barred. For example, regarding who has registered recently and received citizenship and at which addresses," Cvejic told Nova TV.

"Without review access we can't see the main part of the fraud -- remaking the voting roll. I think they won't need too much of that open fraud and vote-buying at the polling places, although that is sure to happen too," the Serbia Center party quoted Cvejic as saying.
