On Aug. 31, the National Assembly of Serbia adopted a revised state budget whereby the total revenue for 2026 was set at RSD2,527.15 billion, which is RSD112.45 billion – i.e. 4.7 percent – higher than envisaged by the original budget.
The total state expenditures were also increased, by 6.23 percent i.e. RSD171.45 billion, and are now set at RSD2,923 billion.
Economic growth for 2026 is projected at 3.3 percent of the GDP, while the absolute annual GDP will total EUR95.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the country’s government debt is projected at 43.8 percent, while the total public debt is 44.2 percent of Serbia’s GDP.
