The Victor 2026 joint live fire tactical exercise took place at the Pester temporary training ground on Sept. 13, bringing together in concerted action land forces, air force, anti-aircraft defense, special and military police units.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, outgoing Prime Minister Djuro Macut, outgoing Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic, other ministers, Serbian Chief of Staff Milan Mojsilovic, former president of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and others were present at the exercise.

Col. Stevan Zigic of the Army of Serbia Supreme Headquarters' Development and Equipment Department said the exercise began late in August and that its main and final part took place at the Pester temporary training ground on Sept. 13. "More than 200 large war technology systems, new multi-barrel rocket launchers, interception drones and robotic platforms will be part of the Victor 2026 exercise at Pester," Zigic said, adding that it demonstrated how land forces, aviation, anti-aircraft defense and special units perform an offensive operation together.

The purpose of the exercise is to advance the training and readiness of commands and units to prepare and execute combat operations, coordinate actions, cooperate and protect forces.
