Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that he will resign in the evening on Sept. 27, when he will also present an explanation for that move.
"I am resigning on Sunday evening, I think it will be around 8 p.m. I will notify you, I will invite you all, you will also hear my explanation and everything else," Vucic told reporters in New York.
He went on to say that he hopes that in two to three days, after a talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he will know more about a solution to the issue of oil company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS).
When a reporter asked him whether the picture is clearer now when it comes to solving the NIS issue, Vucic replied that he does not know what to say, but that he hopes he will know a bit more after he talks with Putin.
