Pro-EU Candidate: Vucic Will Fall Only if Student Ticket and European Serbia Coalition Jointly Win Majority

European Serbia ticket candidate Marinika Tepic said on Oct. 19 that her coalition is essential to changing the country’s regime and underlined that the only way Aleksandar Vucic can be ousted is if the Student Ticket – The Students Will Win and European Serbia ticket together win more seats in parliament than both the Serbian Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia combined.

“It is crystal clear that Vucic will fall only if the Student Ticket and European Serbia in sum win more seats than the current regime. There is no other way. That is why it is important for everyone who wants Serbia [to join] Europe to vote in the elections for European Serbia – so we can be as strong as possible in Parliament because this means a stronger uncompromising pro-European policy,” Tepic said in a press release.

Tepic, who is also the vice-president of the Freedom and Justice Party, emphasized that a mere change in regime is not enough but rather that the system itself must be overhauled, with public institutions “liberated from party shackles” and the country entering speedy EU integrations.

“A regime change must bring a change in policy and a European future for Serbia must be an integral part of this,” Tepic stated.
