TV stations with national coverage have turned the ongoing election campaign into the promotion of the ruling party’s election ticket  titled “Aleksandar Vucic - United Serbia”, while discrediting the “Student List - Students Win,” according to the monitoring of election campaign coverage by the Bureau for Social Research (BIRODI), published on Oct. 20.

“The Law on Electronic Media and the Rulebook on the Protection of Human Rights in the Area of Media Service Provision have been systemically and systematically violated... Out of a total of 25,595 minutes monitored, the share of the election list led by Aleksandar Vucic was 12,878 minutes, of which 12,330 minutes, or 96 percent of the total coverage, had a positive tone. On the other hand, the total coverage of the Student List was 10,024 minutes, of which 95 percent had a negative tone,” according to BIRODI’s analysis.

BIRODI’s monitoring included the public broadcaster RTS Channel 1, TV Pink, TV Prva, TV B92, and TV Happy in the period from Sept. 9 to Oct. 15, 2026.
