The distribution of ballot papers for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for Oct. 25 has begun from the Official Gazette printing office in Belgrade.
On Oct. 20, the RTS public broadcaster reported that 6,450,523 ballot papers were printed, which will be distributed to 8,392 polling stations across Serbia.
Election material was prepared in 29 language variants, classified into 11,500 packages. Ballot papers for voters in the diaspora were delivered on Oct. 19, while the material is sent out to cities and municipalities across Serbia, including Belgrade, on Oct. 20.
Dusan Dincic, a member of the Serbian Electoral Commission, told RTS that the election material prepared and intended for the Sumadija district and also for the Penitentiary in Kragujevac has been taken from the Official Gazette printing house. He also said that representatives of local election commissions have been taking the material to their respective towns, from where they distribute it to the polling boards to ensure it arrives at all polling stations by Oct. 25.
