Orban Calls Mickoski Hero, Thanks Him for Protecting European Borders from Migrants

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called the prime minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, a hero and welcomed “his leadership in protecting the European borders from illegal migrants.”

Orban said this at the opening of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest, a gathering that is considered the largest and most influential gathering of conservatives in the world, the MIA agency has reported.

“Our Macedonian hero Hristijan Mickoski won the election, although the whole of Brussels supported his opponent. He is the guardian of the fortress that protects the southern border of Europe from migration. Long live Macedonia!” Orban said at the opening of the major conference of European and American conservatives in the capital of Hungary.

Before Orban’s address, an exclusive video message from U.S. President Donald Trump was played, while Mickoski is expected to address the conference on May 30. Other participants are Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, former populist Czech prime minister Andrej Babis, former right-wing Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the leader of the far-right Freedom Party of Austria, Herbert Kickl, the leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany, Alice Weidel, members of the Spanish far-right party Vox and representatives of the American right.
