The 30th anniversary of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide was commemorated at the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial Center on July 11.

The remains of seven more Srebrenica victims, found at several different locations, were buried in Potocari. Tens of thousands of people, and officials from the country, the region, and the world attended the commemoration in Potocari. High Representative of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt said during the ceremony that Srebrenica should not be forgotten, and that the denial of genocide and hatred should have no place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic said in a speech that "we live in a time of growing evil and genocide denial," emphasizing that "the tombstones in Srebrenica attest to and warn about the world's callousness." The president of the Mothers of Srebrenica association, Munira Subasic, called on Europe "to wake up" and cautioned on July 11 that "instead of justice, fascism is awakening in the world."

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said in a video message on the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide that the "horrors" that took place there "must never be forgotten," adding that he had visited Potocari as the Dutch prime minister.
