The EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced on July 16 that the claims about the EU’s interference in court proceedings in that country were completely false and contrary to European values.

“Moreover, the rule of law and independent judiciary are the basic principles of the EU,” the statement reads. While announcing an address in front of the EU Delegation in Sarajevo, the president of the Justice and Order Ticket, Nebojsa Vukanovic, said on July 16 that “the international community influences the investigation and court proceedings against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.”

“We can see that the international community is wavering, we see the negative influence of Brussels, from the office of (European Commission President Ursula) Von der Leyen and others who have been making deals with the Mafiosi in power, primarily Milorad Dodik. We can see that they once again made a deal behind the people’s back,” Vukanovic stated.

The EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina pointed out that the EU “has and will always support the freedom of expression,” going on to say that claims about the EU’s interference in court proceedings in Bosnia were “not only ungrounded, but also harmful and undermine trust.” “We urge the public not to be tricked by misinformation. We remain committed to transparency and integrity in our work,” the statement reads.
