Mickoski, Erdogan Confirm North Macedonia-Turkey Strategic Cooperation

North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed on June 13 the traditionally close, friendly and strategic cooperation between the two countries, the North Macedonian government said in a press release.

According to the press release, the two officials discussed possibilities for expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade, new investments and elevating cooperation in infrastructure, energy, tourism, education and defense.

Mickoski, who arrived in Turkey for a visit on June 12, stressed the country's importance as North Macedonia's economic and political partner, noting that his cabinet remains committed to fostering a favorable and predictable business climate for new Turkish investments and the creation of new jobs.

Erdogan affirmed Turkey's support to the development and prosperity of our country, and its readiness to strengthen bilateral ties further in all areas of mutual interest, the press release issued by the North Macedonian government's press service read.
