The European Union has approved EUR140.5 million in grants to Bosnia and Herzegovina after the Bosnian Presidency ratified the 2025-2027 Instruments of Pre-Accession, the EU Delegation to Bosnia said in a statement on July 25.
The funds are earmarked for supporting the process of Bosnia's alignment with European standards, and will be directed at projects for economic development, strengthening institutions and conducting key reforms, the press release added.
EU has again affirmed its role as Bosnia's most consistent partner by continuing to provide financial and technical support in the country's bid to join the EU, the statement underscored. IPA funds are an important instrument of aid to candidate and potential candidate countries with a view to advancing reform processes and sustainable development.
