Air Serbia reported on Oct. 2 that 476,592 passengers were uplifted by the airline in September, marking a 4.3% month-on-month increase on its charter and regular routes.
The national airline operated 4,815 flights from its airports in Belgrade, Nis and Kraljevo, reporting a 4% increase compared to September 2023. In the first nine months this year, 3.5 million passengers used Air Serbia’s flights, 7.8% more than in the same period last year.
"The September results show that passenger interest in our company's flights to various destinations across Europe remains high," said Air Serbia's Director of Commercial Operations and Strategy Bosko Rupic.
Rupic recalled that a direct flight route between Belgrade and Guangzhou was launched on Sept. 30. "This is our second destination in China and our fourth in long-haul operations. Air Serbia's network will continue to expand in the coming period, which we hope will contribute to even greater demand for our flights," Rupic added.
