The Government of Serbia has reduced excise duties on petroleum products by 20 percent, the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) reported on March 13, citing the Ministry of Finance.

The Government’s decision is temporary and will remain in force until April 15. This means that the excise duty on diesel, which cost RSD74.04 dinars per liter on March 13, will be reduced to RSD59.23 per liter, for a decrease of RSD14.81 per liter.

The excise duty on gasoline, which was RSD72 per liter on March 13, will be reduced to RSD57.6 per liter, which is a decrease of RSD14.4 per liter.

A ban on exports of crude oil and petroleum products will remain in force until March 19, though the government has exempted butane, propane and vehicle fuel from the decision.
