All-Serb Assembly (BetaPhoto/Milan Obradovic)
The first All-Serb Assembly, held in Belgrade on June 8 with the participation of thousands of people from Serbia and Republika Srpska, has provoked strong reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and diplomatic warnings from the West. The biggest number of objections is focused on the declaration adopted at the event, which is interpreted differently by Serbs and Bosniaks. The idea to organize an All-Serb Assembly almost certainly came from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who wanted to achieve multiple objectives through the gathering.
