The Donald Trump administration’s decision to suspend the planning of a strategic dialogue with Kosovo is the result of cumulative frustration with technical premier Albin Kurti’s behavior, whose uncooperativeness for some time now Washington has been unhappy with. The announcement of the decision a day before the campaign for local elections in Kosovo starts is definitely no accident and is an attempt to influence voters to turn their back on Kurti, which would lower his chances of staying in power.
