Savo Manojlovic, a doctoral student in law and activist for a number of years, drew major public attention as one of the leaders of a successful blockade of roads around Serbia on Nov. 27. The Get Going for Change initiative, which Manojlovic is leader of, was the first to call for the blocking of roads to protest a bill on referendums and a bill on expropriation. Activists claim that both laws were passed to help the Rio Tinto company which wants to mine lithium in western Serbia.
