Unruly Artist Sprayed with Burst of Insults

Famous director Goran Markovic, the creator of a number of cult movies during the former Yugoslavia, has been taking flak from senior state officials and the pro-government media for nearly a month, and even more so in the past week. The reason for this was Markovic’s statement on the end of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s regime and his frequent and strong criticism of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
