Chairwoman of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media Council Olivera Zekic is one of the most controversial figures on Serbia’s political and media scene. She attracts public attention with controversial moves and fierce verbal attacks, predominantly on independent media outlets and journalists. The opposition portion of the public perceives her as the person directly responsible for all the inappropriate content on pro-regime televisions with nationwide coverage, which she often defends.
