First Year in Office Marred by Scandals

Since his election as mayor of Belgrade in June last year Aleksandar Sapic, a vice-president of the Serbian Progressive Party, has been involved in several scandals. The latest was this week, after Sapic presented a new ticketing system for public transportation in Belgrade. Numerous opposition parties have called for Sapic’s resignation, which should not be expected for a number of reasons.
