A Member of Parliament of the Together for Vojvodina – The Vojvodinians coalition, Aleksandar Olenik, has been in Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s crosshairs as of late, having been designated as an extremist over his pro-Western and pro-Ukrainian views. Tabloids picked up the cue, accusing him of “promoting in Serbia a bloodshed scenario” similar to that of the Maidan Uprising in Ukraine, where months of peaceful protests ended in a grip of deadly violence.
