Last week’s appointment of Tomislav Radovanovic as the acting director of the Security and Information Agency shows that Aleksandar Vucic’s regime wants to retain full control over the Agency. Despite the authorities probably wanting to leave the impression that, after two politicians, a professional has been appointed to the helm of the Agency, Radovanovic’s arrival will not change much in how the service operates, given that he is known to be loyal to Vucic.
