For over 50 years, since the student protests of 1968, Borka Pavicevic has been at the forefront of the struggle for human rights, tolerance and peace, against war, every form of violence, nationalism, xenophobia, intolerance, political one-sidedness and primitivism.
Her actions have left a mark on an entire epoch in the former Yugoslavia and Serbia, during which she confronted policies that did not have a civil society at heart. She was bold and open, especially during the 1990s when that could cost one his or her life.
