The Kosovo Assembly held a ceremonial session in Pristina on March 5, dedicated to 22 years since the start of operation of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), thus marking the beginning of a series of events dedicated to the death of the first KLA commander, Adem Jasari, and members of his family, and to others who died during the war in Kosovo.
Earlier, the first class in all schools in Kosovo was dedicated to that event, and municipal assemblies throughout Kosovo held ceremonial sessions.
Activities on March 6 will begin with the laying of flowers at the graves of members of the Jasari family in the village of Prekaze. The commemoration will end in Prekaze at 6:00 p.m. on March 7 with the event "Night of Fires" and with a cultural and artistic performance in the center of Srbica, on the Adem Jasari Square.
