There are 457 people infected with the corona virus in Serbia on March 26, while seven have died, stated the acting director of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia "Milan Jovanovic Batut", Verica Jovanovic.
"Since the last report, 295 people have been tested. 73 were positive are 47 have been placed in hospital," Jovanovic said.
She stated that a total of 1,456 samples had been tested at the Institute for Virology in Belgrade since the start of the epidemic.
Epidemiologist Bratislav Tiodorovic stated in Belgrade on March 26 that experts had assessed that the introduction of the most strict quarantine measures for entire cities in Serbia was still not necessary.
He warned, however, that "unless the people realize that we are all important factors in the fight against the virus, then the decision to quarantine – primarily Belgrade, Nis and Valjevo – will be made."
