Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNICEF in Serbia has collected USD935,280 for the procurement of necessary medical equipment, the organization’s press release on April 15 said.
Only last week UNICEF received USD246,160 in donations from various companies, the major donor being Multikom Group with USD99,671, while Symphony, Cantena Media Ltd and Lidl Serbia also sent their contributions.
Nordeus, Cantena, Nutanix and Endava companies encouraged their employees to make individual donations to help UNICEF swiftly respond to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
UNICEF director in Serbia Regina de Dominicis said that this organization is fully supporting Serbia’s efforts to protect its citizens, through the purchase of the much need medical equipment for the health-care system, and by providing hygiene products for the most vulnerable families and children.
