The Serbian government’s Crisis Headquarters decided on July 15 that no more than 10 people can gather in public and declared wearing protective masks in the open mandatory if the recommended distance from other people cannot be maintained.
According to a government press release, the measures will become effective in the entire country on July 17, including the municipalities were an emergency situation has not been declared.
The ban on gathering pertains both to open and closed venues.
“The measure, passed on July 15, concerning the masks and which is in effect in Belgrade, has been expanded to include the entire country,” the press release said.
“Protective masks are mandatory in the open, too, where the 1.5 meter distance cannot be kept, such as in queues in front of stores, pharmacies, bus stops and similar,” the government announced.
