Two more people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities to 770, it was announced on the covid19.rs web-site on Oct. 15.

6,504 people were tested in the past 24 hours, with 203 newly registered infections. There are 25 people on ventilators among the 359 currently being treated in hospitals.

Since the start of the epidemic, the infection has been confirmed in 35,454 people in Serbia.

Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated on Oct. 15 that the Serbian government's Crisis Headquarters for suppressing the coronavirus epidemic would not allow the virus "to continue to multiply rapidly, without taking appropriate measures."

Kon told the Happy Television that he was not certain if the measures would be implemented "with or without the state of emergency." Commenting on the seasonal flu, he assessed that it would appear after the new wave of the coronavirus, which he expects during November.
