The Democratic Party said on Nov. 10 that it was justifiable to ask why the private sector and students of the final year at the Faculty of Medicine were not included in the effort to suppress the coronavirus pandemic, because it was clear that health care workers were unable to deal with the infection on their own.
"A reason for concern is the fact that mass testing is not being carried out in Serbia, as it was done in Slovakia and many other states, because Serbia still does not have a sufficient number of tests for citizens, except for Aleksandar Vucic who has said that he has so far been tested as many as 34 times," said Tatjana Vesovic, a member of the Democratic Party Executive Committee and Committee on Health Care.
She warned the government and the Crisis Headquarters that they should change their approach to combating the coronavirus and take different measures, adding that it should not be a party matter, nor a matter of rating as it had been so far, but rather a joint struggle for people's health and lives.
