Nebojsa Ladjevic, the deputy director of the newly opened COVID-19 hospital in Belgrade’s suburb of Batajnica, stated on Dec. 7 that the infirmary’s semi-intensive care unit has so far admitted 324 patients from all over Serbia.
Ladjevic said that 39 people are in intensive care, 12 of which are on assisted ventilation.
“There are patients of all ages, some of them very young. This is an additional warning that anyone can develop severe symptoms,” Ladjevic said.
The youngest patient hospitalized in the new medical facility, according to him, is 23 years old.
