Miroslav Lajcak, the European Union's special representative to the Belgrade-Pristina dialog, has announced that negotiations between the two sides in Brussels would go on next year.
"Welcomed the chief negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina for the (technical dialog) seventh round (since July) in Brussels today. We continued our discussions on financial and property claims and will resume again in 2021," Lajcak said in a tweet.
He tweeted an accompanying photograph of himself and the head negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina in the technical dialog, Petar Petkovic and Skender Hyseni.
After the sit-down, Petkovic said Belgrade had again insisted that the Community of Serb Municipalities had to be formed, and added that the two sides' positions on property and financial claims were very far apart.
