PCR Test Prices In Region Range From 40 To 120 Euros

PCR testing for the coronavirus on personal request costs between 40 and 120 euros in the countries of the region. On the average, it is the cheapest in North Macedonia and the most expensive in Slovenia.

In the majority of countries, the prices vary depending on whether the test is performed in a state-owned or private institution, without differences in the price for domestic and foreign citizens, according to reports of BETA's correspondents on Dec. 16.

In Croatia, the average price of PCR testing on personal request is around HRK700 (around 93 euros) in hospitals and health-care centers, and around HRK850 (around 113 euros) in private facilities. However, prices also differ from one city to another.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, prices are different in the Federation (KM112, or 57.3 euros) and in Republika Srpska (KM105 or around 54 euros). In Montenegro, the personally requested PCR test in private laboratories costs 80 euros, while the serological one costs 25 euros.

In North Macedonia, PCR testing for the coronavirus is performed in state-owned laboratories and in several private hospitals and laboratories. The prices vary around 40 euros. In Slovenia, the price of the PCR test is between 80 and 120 euros.
