After attending the arrival of an airplane with a donation from Bahrain on Jan. 20, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that this country, widely respected in the Arab and Islamic world, had sent 67.5 tons of medical equipment, a part of which are also 20 ventilators.

“This is one of the biggest individual donations to Serbia during its fight against the coronavirus,” Brnabic stated at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport.

She added that this is the fifth shipment arriving from Bahrain, and that it is a result of the talks Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had last November with the authorities of that country about the advancement of bilateral economic and political relations.

“On that occasion every assistance and support were offered to Serbia for its fight against Covid-19,” Brnabic also said, thanking the Air Serbia company on its help during the epidemic. Had it not been for the national air carrier, the prime minister pointed out, “all this aid arriving from around the world would not have reached the hospitals and citizens this fast.”
