Leader of the Enough Is Enough Movement Sasa Radulovic said on April 15 that his party will have its candidate in the next presidential vote, but that it is still too early to announce his or her name.
In an interview with BETA, Radulovic pointed out that a candidate who stands a chance of defeating [Serbian President] Aleksandar Vucic is a sovereignist candidate, who is fighting for national and state interests and for whom only Serbia has no alternative.
“This candidate for president must protect Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia, be a guarantor of Republika Srpska’s survival, not be a puppet of Berlin or the European Union, [and should be] a person who can attract not only opposition votes, but also of those supporting the authorities,” the Enough Is Enough leader explained.
According to him, a government is replaced when a part of its backers and a part of abstainers decide it’s time for a change.
“A vast majority of them [government supporters] votes out of conviction, and not for personal gain. Many may dislike their convictions, but they are those who determine whether the authorities are better than their alternative,” Radulovic said and added that the task of the opposition politicians is to win them over.
