The Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, assessed in Belgrade on Aug. 10 that “this Bosnia and Herzegovina” was unacceptable for the Serb people and that what is presently being done was “leading more to the breakup of Bosnia.”
Speaking at the panel discussion “Inzko’s law – The end of Srpska or the breakup of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik said that he would “not stay silent in the face of imposition.” “I am working against this Bosnia and Herzegovina. It does not suit the Serb people,” he stated.
Dodik also said that the administration of U.S. President Joseph Biden continued the U.S. policy from the 1990s and that this was nothing new. He said that the Biden administration had three more years in office. “One should wait for some new (U.S. president Donald) Trump and proclaim independence,” Dodik stated.
The former high representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Valentin Inzko, imposed the Law on the prohibition of the denial of genocide ahead of the expiration of his mandate. The political representatives of Republika Srpska are fiercely opposing the law.
