Activities within the Belgrade-Pristina dialog on various levels are in progress although "there have not been any specific meetings so far, there were contacts on different levels," EU spokesman Peter Stano said on Aug. 17.
This was Stano's response to being asked by reporters whether the EU planned any meetings as part of the dialog at the end of this month or September. The spokesman stressed that the EU would notify the media "on time" if expert teams or negotiators met or the dialog was held on the highest level.
EU special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialog Miroslav Lajcak said after the latest meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti in Brussels that "very little progress" was made and that the only agreement was to continue the dialog.
"The meeting was difficult and showed very different approaches by the two sides toward normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia," Lajcak said at the time.
