Epidemiologist: When People Return from Winter Vacation Number of Infected Will Rise

Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic has said that when people return from winter vacation the number of infected with the coronavirus will rise, stressing that everyone should stick to existing measures.

"What we have witnessed in the mountains and spas is that almost no one follows measures or a very small percentage do. We are talking about basic measures such as wearing mask and physical distancing," Tiodorovic, a member of the Crisis Headquarters for fighting Covid-19, told the Jan. 20 edition of Blic.

He stressed, though, that "lockdowns or imposing stronger measures at this time, was absolutely impossible." "Many say that anti-covid measures were heightened abroad, but some of them have a much larger number of infected than ever. We need to think rationally, and free ourselves of politicking," Tiodorovic said.
